A tipper in Kavre's Panchkhaal municipality caught fire suddenly at night. According to the District Police Office, it happened at around 12:30 pm in the lower zipline area of Araniko Highway section.
Ba 2 K 6125 driven by Navraj Sivakoti, a resident of Dolakha Kalinchok Rural Municipality-7, was going towards Bhaktapur and suddenly the speed of the vehicle increased abnormally. Deputy Superintendent of Police Meen Bahadur Ghale, information officer of Salkeo District Police Office, Kavre, informed.
According to him, although there was no human loss, the vehicle was damaged. Nepal Police, Panchkhal City Police and fire brigade reached the spot as soon as they got the news. About an hour later, around 1:30 a.m., the fire was brought under complete control.
According to local residents and eyewitnesses, if the driver had not decided to stop the vehicle in time, the fire would have caused great damage.
