Bagmati Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota announced the policy and program for the upcoming financial year 2082/83 in the meeting of the Provincial Assembly held today. He announced the policy program of the Bagmati province government and said that under the policy of 'integrated settlement, prosperous city', physical infrastructure will be built for sustainable economic prosperity, public and private investment will be promoted and integrated settlement development will be formulated and implemented within the province.

Provincial Chief Devkota informed that the policy program emphasizes on the implementation of the campaign 'Kisanko Haat Sarkar Saath' to link the livelihood and improvement of small, semi-professional, subsistence oriented, poor, marginalized farmers deprived of services.

Provincial Chief Devkota mentioned that effective regulation will be done to ensure quality standards in chemical fertilizers, medicines, pesticides, fruits and seeds and meat, milk and grains. Also, a special incentive scheme will be implemented to ensure the availability of specialist doctors in remote areas.

Similarly, the state chief Devkota informed that the government's goal is to produce and distribute 21 types of Ayurvedic medicines from Ayurveda medicine production centers within the state. Expanding specialist Ayurvedic services from Ayurvedic and alternative hospitals within the province and promoting health tourism.

The government has expressed its determination to conduct health camps in the districts as per the requirement with the goal of strengthening public health pre-disaster preparation and natural disaster mitigation. In the policy and program, it is mentioned that residential programs will be continued in community schools to ensure access and quality education of children from endangered and marginalized communities.

Provincial Chief Devkota said that a policy has been taken to encourage professional, talented, professional and international players in the sports sector by arranging training and developing sports infrastructure. Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium, which is under construction in Chitwan, will be constructed with the co-investment of the government and the profit sharing will be arranged.

International sports under construction at Gauri Tar in Hetauda of Makwanpur and other sports infrastructure under construction in the province will be continued. The Chief Minister said that the public health program will be extended to the community level in cooperation with the local level and the campaign 'My health is my responsibility, one hour is my responsibility' will be continued.

The free air rescue program for pregnant and new-born mothers whose lives are at risk will be continued. The development and promotion of Madan Bhandari Highway and East-West Highway area in Sindhuli, Makwanpur and Chitwan districts of the province as industrial and market areas has been included in the policy and program which has been given high priority.

In that meeting, the Chief Minister of Bagmati province, Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang, handed over the program to publicize the government's policies and programs to the provincial chief, Devkota. Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Surajchandra Lamichhane said that the policy and program presented by the government included 116 points and made public.
