A teenager who went swimming in the river at Bhimfedi in Makwanpur drowned in the river and died. 17-year-old Namsonghang Jabegu of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12 Lazimpat drowned in the river while swimming in the Kogte River located in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 of Makwanpur.
Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesman Shyamu Aryal of District Police Office Makwanpur said that Jabegu, who had come from Kathmandu to swim in the Kogte River with his 8 friends, drowned in the river on Tuesday afternoon.
His body was taken to Teaching Hospital Kathmandu for postmortem, police said. While traveling from Kathmandu, they came to Kogat .
