Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-16's ward chairman Ramakrishna Koirala's activism found some spare parts while searching for the missing vehicle.
Excavator was used on Tuesday to search for a vehicle that was lost due to landslides in Garigaon located in Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-16 on 19th Baisakh. "When it started spreading that the vehicle was not lost, they tried to use an excavator to extract the vehicle as per the suggestion of the geologists," Koirala said, "Although the chassis of the vehicle could not be removed, it was necessary to re-confirm that the vehicle was lost, and that was done."
A pick-up No. 4 Ch 4833 carrying fish in Garigaon fish farming area was buried when the ground flooded while unloading. After searching for 3 consecutive days, the vehicle was not found, and in coordination with Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city, on 23rd of Baisakh, geologists were sent to conduct a study.
While studying through the experts of the Department of Mines and Geology, it was concluded that the car was lost due to land subsidence due to boring. According to the findings, a team of geologists was sent from the department again on 2nd of May to investigate and collect samples for soil testing.
According to the soil test report and the suggestions of geologists, an excavator was used to search for the vehicle at the location where the vehicle was washed away.
