One woman from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-18 Jagatchowk and another woman from Bharatpur-19 Shardanagar Health Post Bazar were injured when her husband beat her. One of the injured women is being treated at the government hospital in Bharatpur and the other at the local health post. The police said that their condition is moderate. The husbands of both the people involved in the beating have been arrested.
Similarly, the Chitwan Police informed that the body of a woman was found on the banks of the Narayani River within Bharatpur Metropolitan City-28 Chitwan National Park. According to Chitwan District Police Office Spokesperson DSP Ravindra Khanal, the woman was injured when a stone thrown by her husband hit her in the leg at Shardanagar Health Post Bazar at around 5:30 pm on Sunday evening.
Also in Jagatchowk of Bharatpur-18, yesterday Sunday around 12:30 noon, the husband hit his wife on the head with a wood chip, the police said. The police also said that the husband who hit Chirpat has been mentally unwell for 10 years. Similarly, the news that a woman's body was found on the banks of the Narayani River, about 55 km west of the headquarters Bharatpur, was received on Sunday evening. DSP Khanal said that it was found from the waist down and the head had been eaten by a crocodile.
DSP Khanal says that the team of District Police Office Nawalparasi (East of Bardghat Susta) has reached the spot because they have to travel far from Chitwan. The woman's body has been sent to Madhyabindu Hospital in Kawasoti for postmortem.
