The Kanti Lokpath has been blocked since Monday morning due to the rains washing away the diversion created by the Bagmati river. The Kanti Lokpath was blocked because the rain that fell on Sunday night washed away the diversion made by placing a hump pipe in the Bagmati River at Kanti Lokpath.

As the right and left part of the bridge built on the Bagmati River between Makwanpur's Bhimfedi Rural Municipality-8 and Lalitpur's Bagmati Rural Municipality-2 was swept away by the flood last October, 10 hump pipes were placed in the Bagmati River for the repair of the bridge and a diversion was made for the movement of vehicles.

The flood that came at night washed away all the hump pipes placed in the diversion, so the movement of vehicles was stopped, said Vidyasagar Mehta, police inspector of the area police office, Thigan. "The work of placing the hump pipe is being done to start the Kanti Lokpath," he said.
