According to District Police Kavre Information Officer DSP Meen Bahadur Ghale, 33-year-old Renuka Giri of Panauti-5 Subba village was swept away by a steep river around 6 pm on Monday. While returning home after working in the fields, she was swept away in a steep river in Dhalam. "Local residents, police, army, armed police are searching for him," Ghale said.

Ram Karki, who walked from Okhaldhunga to Kathmandu, told that he was stopped for about 4 hours when the BP highway was blocked. "Even if it rains a little, the highway is closed due to floods, how can you travel in the rain?" he said.
