With the completion of the work, a program was held on Wednesday and the project was handed over. Kuber Dhakal, Ward President of Bethanchok Rural Municipality-3, said that after the project was handed over, 113 households in Kunekhark benefited from the mining water.
Somkumari Timalsina, a local woman, said that after the flood damaged the source of mine water, there was a shortage of mine water in the village. According to him, there was water problem everywhere at that time. She narrated the experience of going from village to village in search of water. "We went to many places to look for water," she said, "we even boiled water from the kholsa and drank it."
According to local Gyanu Timalsina, the women who take care of the house-household were always worried about how to do the water joho . She said that it was very difficult to manage water in the days after the disaster. "There was already a water problem here," she said.
Bhagwan Adhikari, chairman of Bethanchok Rural Municipality, informed that the water management was done by repairing the spring of mine water. According to him, water facilities have been provided at this place with great sadness. He asked to make use of it .
The Secretary of the Committee, Sudarshan Thapa Magar, informed that the project of Kunekhark Mining and Sanitation Consumer Committee has been completed at a total cost of 16 lakh 42 thousand 740. According to him, financial support of 4 lakh 27 thousand 265 rupees from Bethanchok Rural Municipality, 11 lakh rupees from Oxfam, and technical support was provided by Shanti Janardash Seva Kendra.
