District Traffic Police Office Kavre said that due to rain, the road was blocked due to flood in Mamti located under Roshi rural municipality-11 under BP highway.
According to Sunil Dhanju, chief police inspector of the office, the road has been blocked since 9 pm on Monday after the flood washed away the diversion in Mamti. He said that there was an effort to open the road at that place with the efforts of the local police, traffic police and road department. Vehicles going east from Kathmandu have been held at Bhakunde and vehicles coming from east to Kathmandu have been held at Sindhuli. According to him, efforts are being made to open the road by around 12 noon.
Similarly, he informed that the road has been damaged due to rain in Roshi rural municipality-9 under the highway. According to him, after the repair work at that place, one-way traffic is now being operated. Because the road is blocked, the police request to use an alternative route.
