Three people were injured when an armed group attacked a snack shop in Khairhani Municipality-8 on Tuesday afternoon. One of the injured is in critical condition.
The police have arrested two people for their involvement in the assault. The main accused is absconding.
28-year-old Dipendrasingh Go of Rapti Municipality-4 was seriously injured when a group of 3/4 armed with sharp weapons attacked Ahara Cafe around 1:30 p.m., DSP Ravindra Khanal, spokesperson of Chitwan District Police Office, said. Dipendra has a deep injury on his left wrist. 28-year-old Ganesh Lama of Rapti-2 has injuries on his left hand and thigh. The police said that his condition is moderate. Similarly, 27-year-old Amrit Acharya of Khairhani-9 Simaltandi was slightly injured. The injured are being treated at the teaching hospital of Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur.
The Chitwan police say that a group of youths who had gone from Gandakot and other places beat up those who were having lunch and escaped. Chitwan District Police Office said that the police detained two 29-year-old youths from Rapti-4 Bhawanipur for investigation at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
