After the repair of the generator plate has been completed, electricity generation has started from both units of Kulekhani III. One unit of the third hydropower plant of the project was damaged and the repair was completed after 14 days.

 

Production has started since Monday afternoon after repairs. After the generator plate of one of the two units of the third unit of Kulekhani was damaged, the repair was started from May 15. Three Chinese technicians and 18 Nepali technicians were involved in the repair.

centers  Chief Prasannamani Tamrakar said that in addition to replacing the isolation plate after a problem, alignment of the turbine and generator was done.

There are 2 units in Kulekhani III of 14 MW capacity . Although the generator of one unit was damaged, 7 megawatts of electricity was being produced from the other unit. Technicians have said that 14 megawatts of electricity has been produced since Monday afternoon. The

project has three centers. There is a third powerhouse in Sanutar of Bhimfedi Rural Municipality. Tara Dutt Bhatt, the head of Kulekhani I said, "Kulekhani could not produce electricity at full capacity for about 2 weeks when the third generator broke down."

In the Kulekhani Reservoir, which is the 'backup' of the Electricity Authority, the water level is decreasing by 60 to 70 cm every day. On Monday afternoon, the water level is 1,556 cm. The project is now operational around the clock. 

Reservoir has the capacity to hold water up to a height of 1,530 meters. Kulekhani has a production capacity of 60 megabytes from the first, 32 megabytes from the second, and 14 megabytes from the third.
