A young man who drowned while playing in Narayani river has died.

According to the information received from the Chitwan District Police Office, 18-year-old Kumar from the same place, who had gone to Narayani River from Bharatpur Municipal Corporation-17 Majhuwa Road, drowned in the Nepali River at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the police, he went to play with his parents.

Kumar, who was unconscious after drowning, was rescued by his father and taken to the Chitwan Medical College teaching hospital in Bharatpur for treatment. Chitwan police spokesperson DSP Ravindra Khanal said that Kumar died at Saehi Hospital around 2:30 pm.

As the summer heats up, padi playing in rivers and creeks has increased. The police have appealed to people to be careful while playing padi.
