A camp on mental illness was conducted on Saturday at Bahrbise Nagar Hospital located in Bahrbise municipality-9 of the district. The camp was organized with the technical support of Bahrbise Nagar and Atman Hospital and Healing Center Gaushala.
According to Bimal Paudyal, Chairman of Bahrbise Municipality-8, more than 50 locals benefited from the camp. Dr. Pushpa Sharma, Senior Psychiatrist of Atman Hospital and Healing Center, provided free examination, consultation and medicine for human diseases from various health workers. Locals are happy after receiving such services in the hospital. Sadhana Thapa, managing director of Atman Hospital and Healing Center, said that the camp targeted patients with mental problems in the camp and did not want to show mental illness and problems.
'The view of mental problems in the society seems to be narrow, as a result it seems to increase tragic incidents like suicide, for this the camp and awareness about it is more important,' said Psychotherapist and Expressive Arts Therapist Thapa.
Bahrbise Municipality Mayor Balkrishna Basnet, in the presence of Ward President Magnes Pharma and other surgical materials received from the Ministry of Health were handed over to the hospital.
