One person died when a bus and a motorcycle collided on Mude-Melung road section of Lisankhupakhar rural municipality-1, Nigale Bagkhor in the district on Friday evening.

According to District Police Sindhupalchok, the motorcyclist who died in the accident is 23-year-old Suresh Rasaili, a resident of Dolakha Melung Rural Municipality-3. The seriously injured driver who was brought to Sindhu Sadabahar Hospital in Khadichaur for treatment was declared dead by the doctor in the evening. 

around 5 pm  The accident took place when the bus No. Ba.Pr.01-006 B 5934 going to Kathmandu from Dolakha and the motorcycle No. Ba 70 P 8238 coming from the opposite direction collided with each other. Immediately after the accident, locals and security personnel rushed to rescue. The bus and its driver, 23-year-old Madhav Bahadur Karki, a resident of Dolakha Kalinchok rural municipality-6, have been detained by the police. 

20 security personnel were mobilized at the scene of the incident including police station Mude, area police office Bahrbise, police station Balefi and traffic police. Traffic on the road is operating normally.
