A Blood Transfusion Service Center was established on Wednesday in the courtyard of Chautara Hospital located in Chautara, the district headquarters. Nepal Red Cross Society District Branch Sindhupalchok, Blood Donors Association Nepal (Blodan) Sindhupalchok and Chautara Hospital in collaboration with Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality has brought this center into operation.
According to Krishna Prasad Sapkota, the mayor of Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality, the management responsibility of the blood service center has been transferred to the Nepal Red Cross Society. "After the establishment of the service center, the locals and health workers are happy after the need to wander due to lack of blood as before, it has also made us happy," he said. 69 people including 51 men and 18 women of different age groups donated blood in the blood donation program conducted with the opening of the
program. According to Chautara Hospital, the said blood will be stored in the 120 pint capacity blood service center in the hospital.
Nepal Red Cross Society central member and chairman of district branch Sindhupalchok Rajendraman Talchabhadel expressed his belief that this center will play an important role in strengthening the blood transfusion service in Sindhupalchok.
