The Kanti Lokpath has been blocked since Saturday morning after the diversion of the Bagmati bridge was washed away due to rain.
The road was blocked due to the rain that fell on Friday and Saturday, the diversion of the Bagmati bridge at Kantilokpath towards Lalitpur was washed away.
Bagmati bridge between Makwanpur's Bhimfedi Rural Municipality-8 and Lalitpur's Bagmati Rural Municipality-2 has been diverted to the Lalitpur side of the road, so vehicles have been blocked from crossing the bridge District Police Office Makwanpur Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Shyamu Aryal said.
The floods on October 11th and 12th swept away the diversion on both sides of the Bagmati bridge. It was put into operation after maintenance. Due to rain on Friday and Saturday, the road has been blocked by landslides in various parts of Makwanpur area of Kantilokpath.
