After rebuilding the diversion of Bagmati River, Kanti Lokpath has come into operation. The Kanti Lokpath was blocked from Sunday morning after the rains on Friday and Saturday washed away the diversion constructed on the Bagmati River.

Shyamu Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of Makwanpur District Police Office, which has been operating since 1:50 on Sunday afternoon, said.

A diversion was made in the Bagti River between Bhimfedi Rural Municipality-8 of Makwanpur and Baguwa of Bagmati Rural Municipality-2 of Lalitpur. Due to Saturday's rain, the diversion towards Lalitpur Bagua was washed away.

Kanti Lokpath is closed for 6 hours every day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from May 18 to June 1 due to the ongoing maintenance work.
