The Kanti Lokpath has been blocked again when the hump pipe of the diversion placed in the Bagmati River was swept away by the flood.
By creating a diversion, the Lokpath was brought into operation at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The rain that fell on Saturday night washed away the diversion towards Baguwa rural municipality-2 in Lalitpur. Shyamu Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of Makwanpur District Police Office, said that the hump pipe was carried away by the river before 3 hours had passed after placing the hump pipe in the diversion.
Lokpath is closed every day for 6 hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from May 18 to May 1 due to maintenance work.
