Makwanpur police arrested 2 people from Hetaunda with 57 thousand 500 capsules of illegal drug tramadol. Those arrested are 25-year-old Tirthalal Paswan and 23-year-old Sunil Patel of the same place, who live in Benauli, Pachrauta Municipality-7, Bara.

Police station Ratomate caught them with the illegal drug tramadol from Madhesh Pradesh 02-001 Ch 1438 Yoddha pick-up vehicle coming from Bara towards Hetounda market at Hetounda 15 Ratomate check point under East-West Highway.

When searching the vehicle based on suspicion, 57,500 tramadol capsules were found hidden in the front engine compartment of the vehicle, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal, spokesperson of Makwanpur District Police Office informed. It is said that the drug is sold in the market for 72 rupees per leaf. According to the police, the market value of the seized drugs is 4 lakh 14 thousand rupees. 

The police arrested both the driver and the co-driver along with the drug-carrying vehicle. Aryal said that Paswan was the driver of the vehicle and Patel was the co-driver. According to Makwanpur District Police Office, the necessary investigation process has been started with the permission of the District Court Makwanpur for 5 days against both the arrested persons. Recently, the police has been arresting people with drugs on a daily basis.
