Makwanpur police arrested one person with 5 kg 940 grams of opium. District Police Office Makwanpur arrested 25-year-old Baburam Tamang of Chitwan Rapti Municipality-11 with drug opium from Hetaunda-19, Newarpani on Sunday morning.

The police team deployed from the area police office, Newarpani, Makwanpur, arrested Tamang with opium on the passenger bus No. B.P.03-001 B 2887, which was coming from Chitwan to Hetaunda on the east-west road section of Hetaunda-19, Newarpani.

5 kg 940 grams of opium was found in three packets hidden in a bag carried by Tamang. Shyamu Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of District Police Office Makwanpur informed that they have taken him into custody and proceeded with the investigation process.
