16 people were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident on Thursday morning in Sunachuri, Manhari Rural Municipality-6 of Makwanpur under East-West Highway.

They have been sent to Bharatpur in Chitwan for treatment. According to the police, the bus No. 2 B 599, which was going from Itahari to Bhairahawa, fell 10 meters down the road.

According to the driver Rakesh Chaudhary, who is under police control, the accident happened because the steering of the bus was locked. According to the police, the condition of the injured is moderate.
