Three houses were gutted due to a severe fire in Hapra located in Jugal Rural Municipality-6, a remote part of the district. According to the Chairman of Jugal Rural Municipality, Resham Syangbo, the houses of locals Prem Shrestha, Milan Shrestha and Kumar Shrestha were burnt down. Although a house was partially damaged, there were no casualties.
As the fire could not be brought under control, shops, goods, clothes, crops were all burnt and the loss of lakhs was caused by the police. District Police Deputy Superintendent Uma Shankar Yadav informed that the cause of the fire could not be revealed and three houses were on fire.
'Details of the entire damage have not yet arrived. The police and local residents reached the spot and are trying to put out the fire. The fire is not fully under control. By taking precautions, no human casualties could be caused, he said.
Currently, as the house and all the crops have been destroyed in the fire, the victim's family has requested immediate relief and assistance from the relevant agencies.
