The number of visitors to the National Art Festival organized by Kalaghar Sindhuli is increasing daily. Rashtriya Kalaghar Sindhuli said that although there was a slight decrease in the number of visitors on the first day due to the weather, it is encouraging now.

With a long-term plan to unite 195 countries of the world through art and develop it as a world art house, the 7-day art festival is decorated with historical material exhibits and cultural heritage.

Art Festival was organized to make Ratriya Kalaghar an artist's ashram, art innovation creation center and cultural university, Suman Thapamagar, the founder and president of Kalaghar, said. The

festival features models of houses reflecting original Nepalese traditions, original handicrafts, ethnic tableaus, ragte ping, painting, organic food, tea cooked in teapots, and mohi from local vendors. Khainjadi bhajans, folk songs, national artists are performing at the

festival. To reach Kalaghar, one has to cross 7 km from Solavhanjyang on BP highway via Sindhuligarhi to reach Chapauli. President Thapamagar said that the journey is easy as there is a black-paved road all the way to Kalaghar.  The

festival was inaugurated by Bagmati Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama. The festival will continue till May 3rd.
