30 people were injured when a bus accident happened in Chisapani Bazar-3 of Bakaiya rural municipality of Dharan-Chatra road section on Wednesday night.
30 passengers in the bus were suddenly overturned in the reserve bus No. Ba.P.06-001 B 0270 coming from Sindhuli towards Hetaunda. were injured. In the bus, the leader of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality Agriculture and Animal Branch Bhimphedi was returning from visiting farmers.
The injured were rescued by the police and local residents at night and 16 injured were brought to Hetaunda . The remaining 14 injured have been taken to a health center in Baaiya for treatment, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal, Spokesperson of Makwanpur District Police Office.
Out of those brought to Hetaunda, four injured have been taken to Chitwan for further treatment. 8 people are being treated at Hetaunda Hospital and Hetaunda Cooperative Hospital. Four people have returned home after general treatment. Police said that the condition of the injured who are being treated at the health post in Baaiya is normal. The police said that the driver of the bus is absconding.
