Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city is going to run a school for the convenience of children with autism. In a program organized on Wednesday on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Meenakumari Lama said that the budget will be managed for school operation in Hetaunda-11 police station.

She informed that the construction of a building for women in the sub-metropolitan area has started with the preparation of the school. Recently, after the parents of autistic children complained that private schools charged high fees, now the sub-metropolis is going to run schools targeting all types of families, she said.

In a program with parents of children at the Center for Autism in Hetaunda 4 regarding Public Awareness Day, Mayor Lama said that there is a problem now because everyone thinks the same if they don't get information about this matter closely. She said that she is in favor of reforming now. She said that there is a problem now when children with autism and physical disabilities are kept together.

"Work was done with the idea of ​​not keeping all kinds of children away from education in the city area, now a different kind of issue has reached the sub-metropolis, we will improve it," she said.  She suggested that it is necessary for the parents to be aware of the situation and understand the situation of their children as the problem will increase even more after not recognizing the condition of their children and placing them in Monteshwari, private schools.

He said that to solve the problem of autism, the sub-metropolis is doing its homework to run a systematic school. Currently, 32 children from the sub-metropolitan area are studying at the Center for Autism. Vice President of Center for Autism, Shekhar Thapalia, said that the problem arises when parents do not understand the condition of children.
