8 people, including 7 juveniles, have been remanded in custody on charges of gang rape

Makwanpur District Court has sent eight persons including seven juveniles to remand custody on the charge of gang rape of a girl from Hetaunda.

District Judge Avni Mainali Bhattarai's bench sitting on Tuesday has ordered to send 18-year-old Sujit Kumar Lama of Hatunda Sub Mahaganagara Palika-14 to Bhimfedi Jail on charges of gang-raping an 18-year-old girl. 

Similarly, the district court of Makkawanpur said that the court has ordered seven teenagers to be sent to the Children's Correctional Home Hetaunda on the charge of being involved in rape.

8 people were arrested by the police on February 22 based on a complaint filed by a girl who took her to the forest above the Vanaskhandi temple located in Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-2 on January 6. 

Three juveniles accused in the incident are still absconding. The girl filed a complaint at Makwanpur District Police Office on February 21. Based on the complaint of the girl, the police arrested 8 people. According to the police, the arrested teenager and the girl who filed the complaint  He is a student of a campus in Hetaunda. The victimized teenager graduates and teenagers are students of ten plus two  are .
