In the month of Chait, there is a tradition of meeting and honoring sisters and brothers in the hilly districts of Sudurpaschim Province. People who are permanently living in Chitwan and its surroundings from the Far West have also continued this tradition.
Sudurpaschim Samaj Chitwan, formed by them, has honored the sisters of Chitwan and surrounding districts. Secretary Balram Joshi informed that Professor Meenprasad Dawadi, who has made a significant contribution to higher education in the Far West, was honored in the program chaired by Chandrasingh Bhandari, president of the
society. The organization formed by those who settled in Chitwan from the Far West was registered at the Chitwan District Administration Office on this Chait 3. According to Secretary Joshi, the organization was formed for the purpose of doing various activities collectively to protect and promote the identity of Far West.
