5 percent interest subsidy to farmers of Bethanchowk to run business

5 percent interest subsidy will be provided to the farmers of Bethanchok Rural Municipality of the district to run their business.

An agreement has been signed between Bethanchok Rural Municipality and Bindhabasini Savings and Loans Cooperative Society Ltd. in the district to provide interest subsidies to agriculture for conducting agricultural business. Bhagwan Adhikari, Chairman of Bethanchok Rural Municipality and Shant Kumar Shrestha, Chairman of Bindbasini Cooperative, signed the 16-point agreement on Wednesday. 

It is mentioned in the agreement that the Municipality will provide subsidized interest subsidized loans for a maximum period of 5 years to the residents of the municipality from the year 2081/082 for a maximum period of 5 years with a subsidized interest subsidized loan amount and Bindbasini Cooperative will invest subsidized interest subsidized loans . According to the agreement, the rural municipality will provide 5 percent interest subsidy for the said program while the businessmen will have to pay 4 percent interest .

Bethanchok is known as a municipality that is self-sufficient in agriculture and since most of its citizens are involved in agriculture, the presiding officer said that the program is going to be conducted to promote agriculture. According to him, it is believed that this program will help the farmers of the municipality to become entrepreneurship and professional farmers. He informed that this program will be conducted in accordance with the Interest Subsidy Procedure 2080 to provide commercial loans to the entrepreneurs of Bethanchok.
