The fire that broke out in Gorakhnath Community Forest located in Bethanchok rural municipality-3 of Kavre since 11 o'clock on Sunday night has not yet been brought under control. The Ward President of Bethanchok-3 Kuveer Dhakal informed that the fire could not be brought under control even late on Wednesday night.

He said that the fire that spread from Gorakhnath Community Forest on Sunday night is now spreading to two other community forests as well. The fire has also spread to Narayansthan Community Forest of Bethanchok-3 and Chisapani Community Forest of Ward No. 5.

"From Sunday night to Monday, there was a risk of fire in the human settlement," he said, "with the help and cooperation of the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police, People's Representatives, locals, the human settlement has been protected from the risk of fire." Now the fire has reached far from the settlement.

It is difficult to bring the fire under control because of the wind, Bethanchok-3 Ward President said. He said, 'Also, the place where the fire is burning now is difficult geographically and it is not easy to reach there. It is very difficult because the place is very dry and there is a lack of water.'

He informed that the police, army and people's representatives are planning fire control to control the fire. He said that fire can be controlled only if water can be managed and only with natural rain. According to him, it is estimated that about 12 hectares of area has been damaged due to the fire in 3 community forests so far.
