Yashoda Khadka of Melung Rural Municipality-3 Dobhan, who has traditionally been rearing goats due to the good grazing area, has changed her daily life. She has been rearing goats to meet household expenses including festivals. But traditionally. She has been rearing goats in a traditional cage and has built a modern cage by spending one lakh.
She said that the Melung rural municipality has provided financial and technical support to goat farming, which is the main source of income for 22 families of Dobhan, in raising goats of advanced breeds with modern cages. Currently, there are more than 15 advanced breeds of goats and goats in his cage. The rural municipality has provided technical assistance of 15,000 and Heifer Nepal to make modern cages in every house to develop Dobhan as a goat rearing village.
Khasibo worth 10 to 15 lakhs was exported from this village in the past years.
