A ``Chitwan Latte Art Competition'' is going to be held in Naragangarh among the makers of artistic butta floating in coffee. The winners of the competition to be held on February 28th and 29th will receive cash prizes.

The organizers held a press conference in Narayangadh on Saturday and informed that 46 people will participate in the competition.

This is the fifth series of Chitwan Latte Art Competition, in which contestants from East Damak to Pokhara, Butbal, Bhairahawa are participating. 21 people will be selected from 46 people . From these, nine people will reach the semi-final round . Sudish Thapa, coordinator of the competition, said that the best 6 out of nine people will be awarded.

The winner with the most points among 6 people will get a cash prize of Rs 60,000 and the second runner-up will get a prize of Rs 40,000. Coordinator Thapa informed that the third will get 30,000, the fourth 20,000, the fifth 10,000 and the sixth 5,000. The best 6 people will be selected for the national competition to be held in Kathmandu on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of Chait .

'We have been holding such a competition with the aim of expanding the coffee market and developing coffee culture' said coordinator Thapa. In addition to the contestants, farmers who produce coffee, processors, coffee traders and coffee shop operators will also gather in the program, he said.
