Three mining industries operating in Panauti Municipality of Kavre have been banned. Panauti Municipality issued a notification on Thursday and informed that the operation has been stopped.

Diamond Stone Mining Pvt Ltd operating in Panauti-2, Bhaleshwar Rodadhunga Udyog Pvt Ltd operating in Ward No. 12 and Deepalakshmi Aggregate & Mining Pvt Ltd operating in Ward No. 12 have been banned from operations, Panauti Mayor Ram Sharan Bhandari informed.

According to him, the excavation period of construction-oriented road stone industries issued by the Department of Mines and Geology has ended. The municipality has taken a decision to close the industry as it has not been closed even after asking for it several times.
