One person involved in the murder was arrested on Thursday. According to District Police Office Kavre, 36-year-old Sunil Ranjitkar of Dhulikhel Municipality-4 was arrested.
According to Inspector Dinesh Bahadur Kunwar, Acting Information Officer of District Police Office, Kavre, on February 14th, a human skeleton of a woman was found in Kafleti community forest located in Panchkhaal municipality-3.
While the police were investigating, it was confirmed that the 35-year-old Nisha Lama of Mandandeupur Municipality-11, who had been missing since October 15th, was found at the scene of the incident. According to him, Rifle Lama, the husband of the deceased, identified her body.
During the investigation, it was found that Sunil Ranjitkar, a resident of Dhulikhel Municipality-4, who was involved in the incident, brutally killed Lama by repeatedly hitting him on the head with a stone and hiding the body of the deceased at the same place. Police Inspector Kunwar said that Ranjikar was arrested and produced in Kavrepalanchok District Court.
District Police Office Kavre has informed that the court has extended the deadline of 5 days and is investigating the crime of duty killing.
