A screening campaign has been conducted in Kavre for the prevention of non-communicable diseases. As the number of non-communicable diseases is increasing, the screening campaign has been conducted from Sunday to prevent it, said Ragishree Kashpati Shrestha, head of District Health Office, Kavre.
The screening campaign has been launched from District Administration Office Kavre. According to Shrestha, the risk of non-communicable diseases is increasing in the age group above 30 years. "BMI (body mass index), blood pressure, diabetes, kidney will be tested in the said age group," she said, "those diagnosed with non-communicable diseases will be consulted." The
campaign will be conducted in all 13 local levels of the district. She said that this program is expected to reduce non-communicable diseases. The campaign will run throughout February.
