After snowfall in the Himalayan region of the district, foreign and domestic tourists have flocked to play in the snow. The high areas, which were black due to dryness until a few days ago, are now covered with snow. Because of this, there is a rush of snow sports in the tourist area.

Snowfall has not stopped till Wednesday in Helambu, Panchpokhari, Bhairavkund (Amachhyomen) of Hriolmobhoomi districts of the famous tourist destination "Hundred Destinations". After the snowfall, Shyam Sharma (LC), a local who came to visit Amayangri from Galthum, Ward 4 of Helambu Rural Municipality, located in Shirveg on the border of Helambu and Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality, said that due to the snowfall, internal and external tourists have increased in Shirkshetra including Helambu Dupu.

Dozens of mountain ranges like Semisidang, Gangchambo, Amayangri, Kharane, Dorjelakpa, which were turned into black mountains, are covered with snow and shine like silver. "After the snowfall, dozens of tourists are coming to have fun," he said.

Himalayan Bhek Jugal, Panchpokhari Thangpal, Bhotekoshi rural village in Shirvekzain district of Helambu, the villagers of Helambu are unable to come out of their houses due to the accumulation of nearly 2 feet of snow. 

Earlier, the local Lamas and Jhankri went to Khagre Cave, Bhume of Namarjung and Bhotekoshi River and asked for rain with snowfall. Locals including old Zhankri Nyayure Tamang of Indrawati Rural Municipality Ward 4 Nawalpur which is known as the ancient Thakahriulsa kingdom, performed world worship (Syong Puja) asking for rain on Sunday.

Even though there is heavy snow in the upper villages of the district, there has been no rain in the hilly areas. As a result, the crop has not been harvested. Until a few years ago, the lakes of this region, which were covered with snow, are now dry. Currently, the hills of the Indus  The farmers of Bheg have started digging potatoes and selling them and planting corn.

There is a rush to bring water from Kholakholsa to the fields. According to the statistics of Agricultural Knowledge Center Kavre, 73 thousand 710 hectares of land is suitable for cultivation in three towns and nine rural villages of the district. Of this, only 47,400 hectares of land is cultivated.

Almost 65 percent of the farmers are involved in vegetable cultivation throughout the district. Out of the cultivated land, 8 percent is cultivated throughout the year, 25 percent is seasonally cultivated, and 33 percent has irrigation facilities.
