One person has died and three others have been injured when a tipper falling from the road from Karkitar to Sukuta fell from the inner road section in Sangachokgadhi Municipality-10, the district headquarters, Chautara.
According to District Police Sindhupalchok, the person who lost his life when an empty tipper No. Ba 3 B 5664 fell and was destroyed in Sathymure on Friday evening is 40-year-old Yama Bahadur Majhi of Chautara Sangachokgadhi Nagar 10. The driver, Resham Bahadur Khadka, 49, of Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality-10, Bhakta Bahadur Majhi, 32, and Kamal Karki, 45, residents of the same ward, were seriously injured.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Umashankar Yadav said that Majhi died on the way while being rescued and brought to District Hospital Chautara after the accident. "Yam Bahadur died while being brought for treatment on the road, three injured people riding in another tipper are currently being treated, their health is reported to be improving, the cause of the accident has not been revealed, investigation is underway," he said. DSP Yadav said that the injured in the accident sustained head and back injuries and was taken to Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre for further treatment from the district hospital.
A motorcycle accident injured one
On Friday evening, a motorcycle going from Melamchi to Phatakeshwar went out of control on the Indus River in Ward 12 of Melamchi Municipality and one person was injured.
56-year-old Surya Bahadur Majhi was injured when the motorcycle number 83 P 8844 overturned, while the driver, Ram Bahadur Majhi, 40, of Melamchi Municipality-12, sustained minor injuries.
The injured Surya was sent to Kathmandu for further treatment after being treated at the Melamchi Primary Health Center, the police said.
