Three occupants of the car including the driver were injured when a passenger bus hit a car in Balefi rural municipality-6 Chatekhola of the district.

According to District Police Sindhupalchok, the accident occurred when the passenger bus No. 1893 going towards Kathmandu hit the car No. 1 or 1147 coming from the opposite direction on Thursday in Chhatekhola section of Arani Highway. 

The driver of the car, 39-year-old Nir Bahadur Shrestha of Ramechhap Manthali Municipality-3, 58-year-old Lilamaya Shrestha and 58-year-old Sujata Phuyanal of Dhanusha Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan Municipality-2 were injured. Police said that the front of the bus and the side of the car were damaged in the accident. As soon as the news of the accident was received, security personnel, traffic and local rescue were deployed in the locality, Police Inspector Sumesh Pandey of Bahrbise said. Ghaite was rescued and taken to Sindhu Sada Bahadar Hospital in Khadichaur Bazar for treatment. After treatment, the condition of three people is now normal, he said. He said that two of the injured had injuries on their legs.
