The death of 18-year-old Dinesh Vick of Listikot Semung, Bhotekoshi rural municipality-1 of the district is suspicious. District Police Sindhupalchok said that Bik, who was found injured on the side of the road at View Point of Kodari Highway on Friday, died on the way while being brought for treatment.
According to the police, the injured Bik was first taken to Hindi branch hospital of Dhulikhel Hospital in Kavre. The police said that Bik died while being taken to Dhulikhel Hospital after being referred from there.
According to relatives of the deceased, Bik had left Listi Semung village with his brother. Leaving his brother in the middle, he went to meet his girlfriend near the village of Kodari, where the Chinese waterfall is visible. It is the preliminary assumption of the police that he may have been injured in a group attack. Relatives of the deceased have accused the girlfriend of having thrown him down the stairs from Kodari and seriously injured him.
District Police Deputy Superintendent Uma Shankar Yadav said that the girl who is said to be his girlfriend is being interrogated and further investigation is going on. "Investigation is going on, it is not clear that this happened, more will be revealed after the post-mortem," Yadav said.
Bik's body has been kept in the mortuary located in Bahrbise municipality 9.
