An Indian has been found dead in a suspicious condition in Das Kilo area of Tatopani area, the northern border of the district. According to District Police Sindhupalchok, the person found dead at the China border is 40-year-old Vivek Gupta from Mangsupur, Bangalore, India.
A few days ago, Gupta's dead body was found in the Bhotekoshi Bagar at the old truck parking area of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-2 Ghattekhola. Gupta, who was found dead, had bruises on his head, ropes on his hands, and numerous injuries all over his body.
It is initially speculated that someone might have tortured him and killed him. After receiving the information about the incident, four policemen from the local police Kodari were immediately dispatched to the spot for investigation. Police said that the cause of death has not been revealed and the suspicious body has been taken to Bahrbise Nagar Hospital for post-mortem. In this regard, an investigation team has been deployed at the scene of the incident under the command of Police Inspector Sanjita Shrestha from Kodari Police Station.
