It is recommended to convene the winter session of the Wagmati State Assembly on January 18

It is recommended to call for the winter session of Bagmati State Assembly on January 18. The meeting of the Provincial Council of Ministers on Friday afternoon decided to recommend to the provincial head to convene the 15th session of the Provincial Assembly for 11 am on January 18.

The 14th session of the Provincial Assembly was concluded on October 16th at 12 pm. 

Since there was not enough 'business' for the House, the government could not hold the meeting despite the opposition party's demand. The state government has currently registered four different amendment bills in the House. According to the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, Provincial Chief Minister Deepak Prasad Devkota will convene the Provincial Assembly meeting.

According to the spokesperson of the government and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law, Surajchandra Lamichhane, the cabinet meeting has decided to accept and implement the report prepared by the study task force in the context of the implementation of the Provincial Official Working Language Act. "Based on the report made by the study committee, the meeting decided to instruct the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to prepare and manage the necessary preparations for the implementation of the Provincial Working Language Act," he said.

It has been instructed to implement the provisions of the Act and include it in the letter heads, seals and boards of the ministries, commission boards and agencies of the state government.  At the

meeting, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has prepared the necessary procedures and has given instructions to do the work including staff management. Minister Lamichhane informed that the meeting has decided to submit the bill to the provincial assembly to make provisions regarding provincial films. According to him, the meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to give in-principle consent for drafting the bill related to land unification. The meeting approved the Provincial Building Policy 2081 and the Provincial Policy on Persons with Disabilities.
