An injured laborer died on the way after being hit by a box of salmon while unloading goods at the dry port and customs of Tatopani, the northern border.

According to the District Police Office, 43-year-old Ramkaji Vick (Lohore) of Bhotekoshi rural municipality-3 Duguna was seriously injured on Wednesday while unloading goods at the customs here. He died on the way while bringing him to the Dhulikhel branch hospital of Kavre in Bhotekoshi village-4 Hindi for treatment. The police said that the body of the deceased has been kept in the hospital and preparations are being made for post-mortem with necessary legal procedures. On that day, the goods brought by Fusion Transport Company from Rachin were being unloaded in the main hall of the customs. Loho was engaged in the same work along with other workers. He fell down unconscious after the object fell on his head. After the passing away of Loho, who was raising his family by doing wage labour, his nine-member family has been devastated. After this incident, the entire labor group became sad. Now, the transport company and the workers are discussing the issue of compensation to the families of the deceased regarding this incident.
