Makwanpur district court has sentenced a young man to life imprisonment for raping a girl who is related to him. The court ordered a fine of seven lakh rupees to the young man and a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the victim.

District Judge Avni Mainali Bhattarai's bench held on Monday held that a 28-year-old youth of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-5 of Makwanpur had raped her 10-year-old daughter several times. It has been mentioned in the judgment that the father has been raping the daughter for the past two years.

After witnessing the rape of her daughter, the mother filed a complaint against the father at the District Police Office, Hetaunda on 1st October 2080. On the basis of his complaint, the police arrested the young man and filed a case in the court of rape and demanded life imprisonment. The young man, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the court, is incarcerated in the Bhimphedi Regional Jail. 25 years of imprisonment called life imprisonment under the criminal law  Done .
