Preparations for the 'PFC Emerging Cup-2081', which is being organized in Chitwan to identify new players with the aim of connecting sports with education, have been completed. 16 schools of Chitwan are participating in the tournament organized by Patihani Football Club from January 4th to 12th.
Game Bharatpur-14 will be held at Sunder Basti Sports Ground between Sainik Residential Secondary School and Narayani Secondary School. According to the secretary of
club, Suman Paudel, the winner of the competition will get 10,000 cash and sports equipment worth 30,000 rupees. Similarly, the runners-up will get a trophy, medal and certificate worth Rs 15,000 along with Rs 10,000 in cash. The disciplined team has been provided with sports materials worth 5,000 for the best player, best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward, most goal scorer with certificates and awards. According to Postraj Timilsina, president of
club, he continued the competition because the past competitions were successful in identifying new players from school. Since the establishment of the club, we have been doing various activities along with training for the production of new players. He believes that previous editions between schools have been very successful in connecting sports with education. Earlier, the club had linked sports and education by providing coaching training to teachers. Ward No. 14 and 22 of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality are the promoters of the competition.
