Pramodsingh Ranabhat has won the post of President of Makwanpur Industry and Commerce Association. He won by getting 1014 votes. His opponent Anil Aggarwal got 765 votes. Ranabhat was earlier the vice-president of the association.

According to the results announced on Sunday morning, general secretary Pratima Shrestha, vice presidents Raju Adhikari, Ujjwal Chaulagai, Deepak Upreti and Kavyamani Adhikari have won. Tejraj Adhikari as treasurer, Neelam Vaidya as co-treasurer and Kulprasad Choulagai as secretary and another secretary as  Rajaram Karki and Netraprasad Khatiwada have got equal votes. 

16 people have been elected as working committee members. There will be a working committee of 28 people including officers in the union with a three-year tenure.  Out of 2 thousand 46 voters, 1 thousand 816 people voted.  The 58th general meeting of the association started from Wednesday in Hetaunda. Voting was done on Saturday.
