The death toll has reached two and 12 people have been injured in a road accident in Manhari rural municipality-6 of western Makwanpur.
According to District Police Office Makwanpur, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon on the east-west highway located at Manhari-6, when a Scorpio with number 1-026 Ch 5250 coming towards Chitwan and a car with number Ba.16 Ch 8324 coming towards Hetaunda collided with each other.
The car driver Surendralal Shrestha, 60 years old from Hetaunda-4 School Road and Sunita Shrestha, 50 years old from Rapti Municipality-2, District Chitwan, died in the accident, according to Makwanpur Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal. It is reported that they died in Chitwan during their treatment. 12 people injured in the accident are being treated in Chitwan.
