A street food festival will be held in Hetaunda

A street food festival is going to be held in Hetaunda targeting the occasion of English New Year-2025. In a press conference on Thursday, Makwanpur Hotel Association informed that the eleventh street food festival will be held from 13th to 16th of January.

Shankarlal Shrestha, the outgoing president of the association and the festival coordinator, said that the festival is going to be held with the basic slogan of 'go on the road, eat on the road, have fun on the road'. He informed that the festival will be held on the east side road of Huprachaur in Hetaunda. "There are about 50 stalls during the festival, the stall fee will be ten thousand for 4 days," said coordinator Shrestha. Raithane rice dishes as well as banana dishes and Newari snacks are available at the festival.   In addition to the presence of local artists in the

festival, the president of the association Dilish Gobind Joshi said that the fair will be decorated with various decorative lights. The organizers said that observers from Chitwan, Bara, Parsa will also participate in the festival along with Makwanpur. It is said that emergency treatment services will be provided from Makwanpur Cooperative Hospital during the festival.  The organizers estimate that about 40,000 people will watch the

festival. President Joshi has also requested everyone to cooperate with the street food festival aimed at the New Year like last year. In the press conference chaired by the president of the association Dilish Gobind Joshi, the founding president of the association Bhagirath Sharma, outgoing president Shankarlal Shrestha, ward president of ward number 2 and senior vice president of the association Vishnugopal Maharjan, president of Nepal Journalist Federation Makwanpur Balkrishna Adhikari and others were present.
