After the flood/landslide that occurred in the second week of October caused damage, a similar scene can be seen in different places of Bethanchok Rural Municipality. The citizens of Bethanchok, young and old, have now come together to say that after the calamity has taken a toll on the village, it should be rebuilt.
In Geldhung located in Kavre's Bethanchok Rural Municipality-2, with the support of Prayas Nepal and the coordination of Kavre's Bethanchok Rural Municipality, training was conducted on the skills of making blocks and building houses using blocks for post-disaster reconstruction.

The age of 62 years and white beard-hair indicates that the age of Ramkaji Shrestha of Bethanchok-2, Darshandhunga is falling towards old age . Sometimes he uses a spade to remove the soil, sometimes he uses a sable, and sometimes he takes the soil and puts it in a cart. Even though old age is affecting him, the energy that works on him is the same . He has the skills of both carpenter/carpenter and is active in both jobs even at this age . He who wants to learn new skills, he participated in learning the skills after the block building skills training was conducted in the village.

Ramkaji has been working in the construction sector for more than 4 decades . Protecting the ancestral skills, his 3 sons are also in this profession now . Chandra Bahadur's 3 sons are participating in the training. 'This skill is a little different and new than the traditional skills I have,' he said, 'I thought I had learned something, I came only to understand the training for reconstruction, I felt good and participated, I think the village will be rebuilt soon  ;.'

61-year-old Chandra Bahadur Shrestha of Bethanchok-2 has been working as a carpenter for more than 30 years. He had heard somewhere/somewhere after the earthquake that houses are made of blocks . However, he had no knowledge about how blocks are made, how to build a house using blocks. In order to gain knowledge about this matter, Chandra Bahadur, even in his old age, has participated in training on construction made from blocks. While participating in the
training, he explained what he learned and understood from the training. , 33 percent of soil, 33 percent of sand and 33 percent of cement will be used to make blocks, and 1 percent of water will be used. After drying it in the sun for some time, it can be used for construction and it will come out, after drying it in the sun for some time, it can be used for construction What we have learned here .

21-year-old Vishal Shrestha of Bethanchok-2 wondered when and how the village would be rebuilt after the disaster caused great damage. He was thinking that he would also help in the reconstruction. However, he could not think how to help. He also got the news that block making and block house building training is being conducted to rebuild the village and he registered his name to participate in the training. "Here is the most need for reconstruction," he said, "comparatively, the house built from this will be built quickly and it will be very good for reconstruction." Indra Lal Shrestha from Bethanchok-3 Sanale is also learning the skill of making blocks . He has been working as a carpenter and contractor in the construction sector and says that this kind of skill will be very effective for reconstruction. According to him, the construction work can be completed in a short time at a low cost, and it seems to be relatively effective. He said that he also participated in the training to rebuild the village. Later, he thought of commercializing this skill.
42-year-old Navraj Shrestha of Banepali tol located in Bethanchok rural municipality-3 was living in an old-age home for 2 months after the flood/landslide completely damaged his house. The participants of the training conducted with the support of Prayas Nepal and the coordination of Bethanchok Rural Municipality will provide flood/landslide affected Navraj Shrestha by building a temporary model house using blocks. He expressed his happiness that he was going to get a residence through this program. 'What could be greater happiness for me?' He said, 'I will also help to build houses for other affected people by learning house building skills.'
last Thursday The rural municipality started the training on the occasion of Soil Day and Swayamsevak Day. 20 people from different wards are participating in the training organized for the reconstruction of Bethanchok Rural Municipality. Coach Keshav Karki is giving training in the training which will be conducted for 15 days. He said that this type of building has been a practice in most areas for reconstruction after the earthquake. According to him, the building made using blocks is earthquake resistant and can be built safely and quickly at low cost.
Nepal's founding president Mani Joshi said that in view of the fact that they have been working in various places for relief after the disaster and that reconstruction is a major need in Bethanchok rural municipality, efforts have been made to support training in making blocks and building houses using blocks. 'Now a house will be built here for the model,' she said, 'the participants of the training will use the skills learned here to work for the reconstruction of the houses of other affected people in the village.' Bhagwan Adhikari, chairman of Bethanchok Rural Municipality said that the program will be very effective. According to him, this training will be extended to other affected wards of the municipality.
