A 35/40-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a bus in Manhari Rural Municipality-6 Chowkitol under Mahendra Highway. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
Pedestrian was injured in the collision of passenger bus No. BAPR 01-006 B 5524 going to Kathmandu from Birganj . The police immediately reached the spot and brought the injured to Hetaunda Hospital for treatment.
District Police Office Hetaunda informed that the injured person died on Wednesday morning during the course of treatment. Hitting bus and bus driver Jitpur Simraka 58-year-old Uddhav Giri has been detained by the police.
Similarly, a pedestrian died in a car collision in Hetaunda sub-19 Bastipur. BAPR03-001 and 0251 auto number going from Bastipur to Manhari collided 42-year-old Manoj Lama of Manahari rural municipality-3 Sukoura died.
The auto driver Prem Bahadur Sintan brought the injured Lama to Hetaunda Hospital for treatment. He died during treatment. The police have detained the car that hit and the driver Sintan.
