Indian citizen arrested with 111 kg of ganja

Makwanpur police have arrested an Indian citizen with 111 kg of marijuana. When the police stopped the pick-up vehicle No. 10 Ch 533 going from Manhari towards Birganj at Tintapke, they found 111 kg of ganja inside the vehicle.

Marijuana was kept in the vehicle covered with sand and manure. The police have arrested 30-year-old Mahomed Samir of Bharat Motihari Chainpur Dhaka police station for possession of marijuana, vehicle and driver.

 13 packs of marijuana were packed in plastic and brought secretly. The police of Lewat police station in Hetounda stopped the vehicle on suspicion and found marijuana. "Ganja pot was completely covered with sand and manure," Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal said, "Ganja was found only after the police removed the sand and manure." KG hashish and 239 grams of brown heroin have been recovered. Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Aryal said that Makwanpur Police arrested 67 Nepali and Indian citizens on charges of drug dealing. During this period, 61 Nepalis, including 2 women, and 6 Indian citizens, including a woman, have been arrested for drug dealing,' he said.

 According to the data of District Police Office Makwanpur, last year  The police arrested 250 people including 21 women on the charge of drug trafficking and filed a case. During that period, Makwanpur police seized 3,962 kg of ganja, 13 kg of opium, 78 grams of brown heroin, and 150 kg of hashish.
