Police arrested two people with illegal drugs from Makwanpur on Sunday morning. According to the police, two people were arrested with about 56 kilograms of marijuana from Jamire, Manhari rural municipality-9 of the district.
Those arrested are 27-year-old Anil Kumar Thing, a resident of Manhari Rural Municipality-8, Simpani, and 32-year-old Rajendra Muktan, a resident of the same Rural Municipality-9. They were arrested by the police stationed from the local police office Manhari.
While checking the truck No. 6 B 2344 going from Simpani to Birganj, the marijuana was found hidden in plastic wrap in the cabin above the driver's seat.
The police have proceeded with the necessary investigation and legal process against those who were arrested.
